IO Interactive Swaps 'Parking Lot' for 'Car Park' in 007 First Light

IO Interactive changed a line in 007 First Light’s final release, replacing Bond’s American-English “parking lot” with the British “car park.”
A 20-minute gameplay trailer released in September drew attention to the wording, and indie developer Joe Wintergreen publicly mocked the mismatch for a British spy character.
IOI told Eurogamer the change was made to “reinforce the immersion within the mission” and said that, to its knowledge, this was the main Americanism altered after appearing in trailers.
The tweak lands as the Bond origin game launches on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, with IOI already signaling post-release plans.

With GTA 6 delayed, can this new James Bond game build a lasting franchise on its own merits?
