The Oasis Group on Tuesday published “2026 Peaks for Estate Planning Platforms,” a research report aimed at helping advisory firms, family offices and broker-dealers match estate-planning technology to their business models.
The report argues estate planning is shifting from an outsourced, document-heavy legal process to an advisor-led digital capability, driven by demand for deeper client relationships, asset growth and more holistic wealth advice.
Three firms — Luminary, Vanilla and Wealth.com — were labeled “Summiteers,” while fpAlpha and EncorEstate Plans were named “Mountaineers” and eMoney and MoneyGuide Wealth Studios “Climbers.”
Oasis said no single platform is a default winner because fit depends on firm size, client complexity and operating priorities, even as AI, document ingestion and wealthtech integrations reshape the category.
The consultancy said it built the report from live demos, platform reviews, vendor materials, client references and prior implementation work, reflecting what it called a fundamental shift in how estate planning is delivered.
With 'Summiteer' platforms dominating, can smaller 'Mountaineer' firms still innovate their way to the top?
