33-year-old Darren Till said a lucrative BKFC offer put “a few zeroes” in his bank account and drove his switch to bare-knuckle fighting ahead of his debut Saturday.
Till said the promotion’s terms were too good to refuse after years of resisting bare-knuckle over fears of cuts and facial damage, even as he believed the style suits his boxing-heavy approach.
The former UFC title challenger now says MMA is “probably 85 percent” behind him, though he stopped short of ruling out a future return if a title pursuit still nags at him.
BKFC’s longer-term draw is Mike Perry: Till said he will stay in bare-knuckle as long as needed to land that grudge fight, which he hopes can happen by the end of 2026.
