Latvia’s parliament backed Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs’s new government by 66 votes to 25 on Thursday, formally installing the four-party alliance.
The vote followed the collapse of the previous coalition in a dispute over drone incursions, clearing the way for former businessman Kulbergs to become premier.
The new alliance takes office just five months before Latvia is due to hold its next parliamentary elections, giving the government a short runway to stabilize politics.
