Three crude tankers sanctioned as part of Russia’s shadow fleet were hit by drones overnight off Turkey’s Black Sea coast, according to a local port agent.
The Turkish-managed Altura and Velora were attacked while conducting ship-to-ship cargo transfers; ship-tracking data showed they had reached the area on May 24.
Altura had already been attacked in March, when local media said it was carrying about 1 million barrels of Russian Urals crude.
The strikes target vessels tied to the shadow fleet used to move Russian oil despite Western sanctions.
