Two leaked photos posted on X by Hong Kong developer pipfix appear to show black Vision Pro parts, including a package holding about two dozen components.
That volume suggests more than prototype testing and points to possible mass production of an all-black version Apple has never announced.
The color rumor predates the second-generation, M5 Vision Pro, but Apple still sells the headset only in a single light finish.
Any new variant would arrive as Vision Pro demand remains weak: analysts estimated 45,000 units shipped in late 2025, versus more than 700,000 Meta VR headsets.
Price remains the bigger hurdle than color—Vision Pro starts at $3,499, compared with $399 for Meta's Quest 3 and $349 for the Quest 3S.
