$380.5 million in total funding is backing UVeye’s push to expand its automated vehicle-inspection systems across North America, Europe and Asia after the Israeli company pivoted from defense tech to autos during the pandemic.
More than 1,000 UVeye systems now scan over 3.5 million vehicles a month, feeding what the company says is the world’s largest vehicle-components database built from hundreds of petabytes of data.
The drive-through computer-vision platform checks tires, undercarriages and exteriors in seconds with 96% accuracy versus about 24% for manual inspections, targeting dealerships, fleets, manufacturers and logistics hubs.
Toyota, Hyundai, Volvo, General Motors and Amazon are among partners using the technology, while the new capital is earmarked for scaling operations, boosting manufacturing capacity and widening deployments.
The expansion reflects a broader automotive shift toward AI-based infrastructure as companies seek faster maintenance decisions, lower downtime and more transparent vehicle-condition records.
