Three people were hospitalized after a 31-year-old Swiss man allegedly attacked them with a knife at Winterthur train station near Zurich, where police later arrested him.
Police said the assault happened around 2:30 a.m. ET, and the motive remains under investigation.
Blick reported video showing a man running from the station concourse shouting “Allahu Akbar,” while an eyewitness said he was holding a knife as bystanders screamed and fled.
The attack prompted a major police response and cordons around the station, adding to concern after reports that schoolchildren were nearby during the incident.
