Nigeria Telecom Subscribers Reach 185.7 Million as Internet Users Climb to 153.8 Million

March 2026 telecom subscriptions in Nigeria rose to 185.7 million from 184.6 million in February, while internet users increased to 153.8 million from 153.1 million, NCC data showed.
Teledensity also edged up to 85.67% from 85.16%, extending a nine-month run of monthly gains in both mobile and internet access.
MTN kept the market lead with 95.8 million subscribers and a 51.62% share, ahead of Airtel at 63.6 million; Globacom had 22.6 million and T2 3.5 million.
Mobile data remained the main driver of connectivity growth, accounting for 153.2 million of the 153.8 million internet subscriptions recorded in March.
The latest figures mark continued expansion from July 2025, when Nigeria had 169.3 million telecom subscribers and 138.7 million internet users.
