Late May and early June downpours are set to hit key grain provinces including Henan, Hebei and Anhui, putting China’s crop belt at elevated flood risk earlier than usual.
Heavy rains are arriving sooner and lasting longer across several regions this year, the National Meteorological Center said, increasing pressure on both farming and disaster management.
