Rebecca Hupp will retire from Boise Airport in June, ending a 14-year run as director while the city starts a search for a permanent successor.
82% passenger-traffic growth over the past decade marked her tenure, during which the airport expanded air service, completed major infrastructure projects and drew private-sector investment.
Hupp said she is leaving for a Dallas-based aviation construction company to gain better balance between professional and personal priorities after more than 30 years in aviation.
Kathleen Watkins, the airport’s deputy director of finance and business development, will serve as interim director, and the city said operations and ongoing projects will continue without interruption.
