Comcast said its newly completed East New Market expansion will bring Xfinity multi-gigabit internet to more than 250 homes and businesses in the Maryland town.
The buildout is part of Comcast’s broader investment push on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, aimed at extending its network and giving residents and businesses another broadband option.
Projects already underway in Centreville and Kent Island are expected to connect more than 16,000 additional homes and businesses to Xfinity and Comcast Business services.
East New Market Mayor Gary Lucks called the project a significant local investment that adds a new choice for fast, reliable internet, mobile services and related offerings.
