Apple's New iPad Air Drops Up to $100 at Amazon as 13-Inch Model Hits $699

$699 buys the base 13-inch iPad Air at Amazon, a new low and $100 below list, while the 11-inch 128GB Wi-Fi model has fallen to $519.99, down $79.
The discount puts Apple's latest Air closer to the entry-level iPad on price while preserving a step up in performance, led by the M4 chip and 12GB of RAM.
That positioning still leaves the Air below the pricier M5 iPad Pro, but with enough power for lighter creative work, gaming, Apple Intelligence and Apple Pencil Pro support.
Apple also added Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread support, strengthening the Air's value as a midrange tablet and smart-home control device.
