Halide Mark III is now available as a paid update, adding Photo Lab editing inside the app and a new film-simulation system instead of relying only on capture tools.
Five new Looks—Valencia, Rembrandt, Nova, Zephyr and Chroma Noir—add effects such as grain and halation, while HDR support and tweakable controls let users customize or disable processing.
The update also redesigns the camera interface, surfacing focus, aspect ratio and lens controls more prominently; Lux says the iPad's two-panel layout is especially suited to editing.
Pricing remains $10 monthly, $20 yearly or $60 one-time, while existing subscribers and Halide Mark II buyers get Mark III free.
The release is Lux Optics' first major Halide update since co-founder Sebastiaan de With left for Apple in January after a reportedly contentious split.
