Google Search Adds 3 New Data Controls for History, Media and Personalization

Google is rolling out new Search settings over the coming weeks that let users separately manage stored queries, saved media and recommendation personalization.
The new Search Services History control covers activity across Search, Maps, Shopping, Flights, Hotels, Translate and News, and now also includes generative AI responses.
A Saved Media option stores images, files, audio and video used in voice searches, Google Lens and Search Live; users can switch it off separately or delete selected items.
Google said the saved data supports interactive features and is also used to improve services, AI models and safety measures, while the update gives users more granular privacy control.
