That shift addresses a 2026 scheduling problem: Doral was staged in late April, two weeks before the PGA Championship, and several top players skipped it rather than play three straight weeks.
The revamp also pushes the Arnold Palmer Invitational to the week after The Players starting in 2027, reversing the recent order of the Florida Swing's marquee stops.
That new sequence could leave Bay Hill as the main loser, with players who take on Doral and TPC Sawgrass more likely to rest as the Masters approaches.
