Music v2 lets users shift styles within a single song—from opera to heavy metal—while preserving vocal and compositional coherence, ElevenLabs said.
The model also enables section-by-section editing: creators can regenerate one part with prompts, build intros, verses and choruses separately, and add non-musical sound effects.
ElevenLabs said the system is more reliable across languages, lyrics, vocals and arrangements, and that it was trained on licensed data cleared for commercial use.
The release lands as Google, Stability AI and Suno push more advanced music tools; copyright risk remains central after lawsuits against Suno and Udio.
Music v2 is available now in ElevenCreative and the new ElevenMusic platform, with ElevenAPI access coming soon.
