Jimin posted an edited 2026 American Music Awards winner card on Weverse replacing BTS with “ARMY,” saying the fan base deserved the artist of the year honor.
The tribute underscored that the category was fan-voted, with RM also telling viewers during the acceptance speech that ARMYs worldwide powered the win after 13 years of support.
BTS collected 3 AMAs on the night — artist of the year, song of the summer for “SWIM,” and best male K-pop artist — at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The group is in the middle of a 4-night Las Vegas stadium run on tour behind Billboard 200-topper “ARIRANG” and heads next to Busan for 2 June shows.
