110.7 was the EU27 employment index for persons employed in the first quarter of 2026, down from 111.4 in the fourth quarter of 2025, Eurostat said on May 26.
The update comes from Eurostat’s quarterly national-accounts dataset on employment by main industry under NACE Rev.2, using 2015 as the base year of 100.
110.6 was the EU27 employment index based on hours worked in the fourth quarter of 2025, but the release did not provide a first-quarter 2026 figure for that measure.
The new data point adds to Eurostat’s regular quarterly tracking of employment trends across the 27-country European Union.
