A 49-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of failing to disclose information relating to terrorist activity tied directly to the October 2025 Manchester synagogue attack.
Counter Terrorism Policing North West said officers raided a property on St James' Road in Higher Broughton, Salford, and are questioning the suspect.
The attack on Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue on 2 October 2025 left worshippers Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz dead after Jihad Al-Shamie used a car and knife before police shot him dead at the scene.
The latest arrest brings the total detained in the case to eight; one 30-year-old man has already been charged with failing to disclose information, while another faces separate terrorism charges not directly linked to the attack.
Police said victims' families and those seriously injured have been updated as investigators continue trying to establish the full picture behind the attack.
