Nkom Deploys 2 GNSS Stations in Eastern Finnmark as Navigation Disruptions Persist

Two new GNSS measurement stations have been deployed in Eastern Finnmark, expanding Norway's monitoring of satellite-navigation interference in the far north.
Nkom said the move responds to continuing reports of GNSS disruptions and is meant to strengthen resilience by giving authorities better oversight of conditions in the region.
Karianne Tung, Norway's digitisation minister, said the added stations will improve situational awareness in northern areas where robust navigation and telecom infrastructure are increasingly important.
The deployment follows last year's decision to open a new Nkom office for northern Norway in Tromso, part of a broader push to reinforce state capacity in the north.
