California Issues Amber Alert for 4-Year-Old After Mother Found Dead in West Adams

California Highway Patrol activated an Amber Alert Monday evening for 4-year-old Daleza Fregoso after investigators identified a body inside a West Adams home as her mother.
Authorities say Daleza was allegedly abducted by her father, Ruben Fregoso, 40, who is now the suspect in both the kidnapping and the homicide.
The girl and her father were last seen around 4 a.m. May 24 near Alsace Avenue and Ferndale Street in Los Angeles.
Investigators believe they may be traveling in a white 2019 Land Rover Discovery with California plate 9DAW715 and urged anyone who spots them to call 911.
The case has escalated from a missing-child search into a homicide investigation centered on the girl's disappearance and her mother's killing.
