Brooklyn topped Bleacher Report’s ranking of five NBA teams best positioned for a busy offseason, with the Nets holding the No. 6 pick and nine tradeable first-rounders.
Those assets include three unprotected Knicks firsts in 2027, 2029 and 2031, plus Denver’s unprotected 2032 first, giving Brooklyn the league’s deepest stockpile for blockbuster talks.
Oklahoma City ranked second with 10 incoming firsts and picks No. 12 and 17 this year, while San Antonio placed third behind four moveable firsts and a prized 2027 Hawks first.
Charlotte came in fourth with up to seven tradeable firsts and 14 incoming seconds, and Memphis fifth with 11 first-rounders through 2033 after adding major draft capital in recent deals.
The ranking is framed around draft picks and swap rights—not star players—as the NBA heads toward the draft and what Bleacher Report expects to be an active trade market.
Will the Nets' treasure trove of picks land a superstar or just delay an inevitable and painful rebuild?
As champions with vast draft capital, will the Thunder trade a star to dodge harsh luxury tax penalties?
