Democrats Condemn DNC Over Deleted Memorial Day Post on 4 Fallen Soldiers

Sen. Tammy Duckworth and Rep. Jason Crow publicly rebuked the DNC after it posted, then deleted, a Memorial Day message tying fallen U.S. troops to "Trump's war with Iran."
The original post used photos of the dead service members and said, "Today we honor the American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in Trump's war with Iran," drawing accusations that the party politicized Memorial Day.
The DNC later replaced it with a generic tribute honoring those who "made the ultimate sacrifice," but did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Republicans including RNC Chair Joe Gruters and Sen. Rick Scott amplified screenshots of the deleted post, calling the soldiers' use as political props "disgusting" and "unAmerican."
The backlash adds to a rough stretch for the DNC, which has also faced criticism over its 192-page 2024 election autopsy report.
