Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell have been tapped to write “Paddington 4,” giving the newly announced sequel its first major creative hires.
Dougal Wilson, who directed 2024’s “Paddington in Peru,” is in talks to return, suggesting Studiocanal wants continuity after his feature debut on the franchise.
The four-film series follows three releases from 2014 to 2024 that have grossed more than $800 million worldwide, with producer Rosie Alison staying on for Heyday Films.
Studiocanal had revealed at CinemaCon earlier this year that a fourth film was in development and said only that “world-renowned comedy writers” had been hired.
