A new leak says Vivo is testing an X500 Pro Max prototype with a battery exceeding 8,000mAh, though the phone’s final internal design is still being worked out.
The same report points to a 6.85-inch 2K OLED display and MediaTek’s next-generation 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, positioning the model as a new top-end addition to the X500 line.
That would mark a sharp battery jump from the current X300 and X300 Pro, which carry 6,040mAh and 6,510mAh cells, while the recently launched X300s moved up to 7,100mAh.
Earlier leaks suggested the X500 series could launch sooner than expected with three models—X500, X500 Pro and the new Pro Max—and batteries above 7,000mAh across the lineup.
Will Western buyers get the full-spec X500, or will regulations force a version with a smaller battery?
