Google’s May 2026 system services update adds “co-owner,” “guest” and “service” roles to Google Wallet digital car keys, giving users more control over who can access a vehicle.
Google says the update also makes key sharing easier across a user’s own devices, including Android phones and Wear OS smartwatches, while shared access can be limited by speed, acceleration or audio-volume settings.
In Wallet, owners share a key by selecting the digital key, verifying with a fingerprint and sending a passcode that the recipient uses to activate remote access.
For tablets and book-style foldables, the Play Store now shows more content on large screens, and Google also added a feature to restore daily game streaks shown in the Games tab.
