Cherokee County deputies charged Lindsie Chrisley on Sunday with DUI, attempting to elude, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding after a Memorial Day weekend stop in metro Atlanta.
Georgia law allows a DUI arrest below the legal blood-alcohol limit, and Chrisley told TMZ she planned to fight the charges, saying she swerved while trying to avoid an animal on a two-lane road.
$6,000 bond secured her release about 45 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta, the sheriff’s office said.
Chrisley, the eldest daughter from the “Chrisley Knows Best” family, was booked weeks after President Donald Trump pardoned her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley in their federal fraud and tax-evasion case.
The arrest also comes as her boyfriend, David Landsman, faces pending felony domestic-violence charges in Cherokee County tied to an April 10 incident in Woodstock, according to TMZ and People.
