ORCA Computing has installed its PT Series photonic quantum systems in Digital Realty’s newly launched London Innovation Lab, placing the hardware in a live commercial data-center setting.
The setup lets customers test hybrid quantum-classical workloads alongside AI and high-performance computing infrastructure before wider deployment, aimed at cutting integration risk and speeding adoption.
ORCA said the PT Series can run in that production-grade environment without specialized cooling or other bespoke infrastructure, underscoring its data-center-native photonic design.
London anchors Digital Realty’s expanded access to advanced infrastructure testing across EMEA, while the deployment adds to ORCA’s commercial push with partners including NVIDIA, Toyota Tsusho, SiC Systems and JIJ.
As quantum computers enter data centers, is ORCA's 'plug-and-play' system a true revolution or a costly experiment for businesses?
Can the UK’s multi-billion quantum strategy, now live in London data centers, truly challenge Silicon Valley's dominance in next-gen AI?
