Paul O'Brien, 45, was arrested in Belleville on May 22 after a police internet child exploitation investigation and faces five charges.
The counts include possession, making and transmitting child sexual abuse and exploitation material, along with careless storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
Belleville police held O'Brien for a bail hearing scheduled for May 25.
