Microsoft Ends Samsung Gallery OneDrive Sync on Sept. 30, 2026

Sept. 30, 2026 is the cutoff for Samsung Gallery syncing directly to OneDrive, with Microsoft confirming the change on a support page.
After that date, new users will no longer be able to link Samsung Gallery and OneDrive, and existing users must switch camera roll backup settings to the OneDrive app.
OneDrive photo backup will still work, but only through Microsoft's standalone app, which adds extra setup and requires full photo and video access.
Microsoft says previously backed-up photos and videos will remain accessible in OneDrive, while paid storage plans tied to Microsoft 365 start at $1.99 a month for 1TB.
