New York has stretched its postseason surge to 10 straight wins and now leads Cleveland 3-0 in the Eastern Conference finals, putting the franchise one game from its first NBA Finals berth since 1999.
That run followed an early scare against Atlanta, when the Knicks trailed the first-round series 2-1 before closing out the Hawks, sweeping Philadelphia and taking full control against the Cavaliers.
Only 10 teams in NBA history have won at least 10 consecutive playoff games in a single postseason, and all but the 2012 Spurs reached the Finals.
A Game 4 win Monday would push the Knicks to 11 straight victories, tying them with four other teams that all made the Finals, though a title path would still likely run through Western powers Oklahoma City or San Antonio.
