Stellantis said a standalone Dodge SRT halo car will revive the Viper’s role, with the model widely expected to be named the Copperhead SRT and launched before 2030.
10 SRT variants are planned across Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and Dodge by 2030, but this Dodge will sit apart as its own dedicated SRT offering rather than a trim of an existing model.
Car and Driver reported the two-door coupe preview showed a long, low body, raised hood, large rear wing and heavy aero treatment, positioning it as a more extreme performance car than the current Dodge Charger coupe.
6.2-litre Hellcat V8 power appears most likely, with visible exhaust tips indicating combustion power; the supercharged engine makes about 580kW, exceeding the old Viper’s 8.4-litre V10 output.
The car is believed to use Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, signaling the reborn SRT brand is returning with a flagship aimed at rivals such as Ford’s Mustang GTD.
