Lars Moravy said he "thinks about" a tri-motor Model 3, signaling Tesla is at least exploring a new top-end performance variant after retiring the Model S and Model X.
Carbon-sleeved motors from the Model S Plaid are the hardware under consideration, but fitting a third motor into the Model 3's rear subframe would be a tight engineering challenge.
