One week after marrying, Lainey Wilson and Devlin "Duck" Hodges made their first major public appearance as newlyweds at the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, saying married life still had not fully sunk in.
The couple used the red carpet to revisit their May 10 ceremony at The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, where they wed on a cobblestone ledge in front of a waterfall after discovering the venue on a backroads drive.
Wilson said the most emotional moments were seeing Hodges react to her bridal look and privately reading handwritten vows before the ceremony, while the wedding blended her Louisiana roots with Tennessee scenery.
That celebration featured a custom Oscar de la Renta gown, a 12-piece Rebirth Brass Band, a New Orleans-style second line and a getaway in an old white Ford truck.
The ACM appearance also marked a full-circle moment: the pair first went public together at the 2023 awards, and Wilson arrived this year as a newlywed with 7 nominations.
