Mecum will auction the deep-blue Gunther Werks Speedster known as Blue Phoenix at its Monterey sale in August, with the 993-based car showing just 108 miles since completion.
Only 25 Speedsters were built, and this one recently received a full check and service from Gunther Werks, underscoring its near-new condition ahead of the sale.
The re-engineered air-cooled 911 packs a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six developed with Rothsport Racing, producing 430 hp and 330 lb-ft through a six-speed manual and limited-slip differential.
Carbon-fiber body panels, chassis reinforcement, JRZ coilovers, Brembo brakes and a front-axle lift help keep weight to about 2,600 pounds while modernizing the open-top car.
Gunther Werks cars have already fetched seven-figure prices on the secondary market, suggesting the Monterey sale could test demand again for ultra-low-volume reimagined 911s.
