Ericsson Moves Global Headquarters to 5 Hagastaden Properties, Leaving Kista After 20 Years

Ericsson signed leases for five properties in Stockholm’s Hagastaden, shifting its global headquarters from Kista after more than two decades in the suburb.
The new sites will also house R&D, business areas, group functions and the company’s Imagine Studio technology showcase, making the move broader than a head-office transfer.
Atrium Ljungberg and Castellum said Monday they will develop the properties for Ericsson in the fast-growing central Stockholm district.
The relocation marks a setback for Kista, once promoted as Sweden’s Silicon Valley but now described as a struggling suburb.
