Heavy storms about 100 miles southeast of San Antonio overwhelmed a low-water crossing within minutes, and police said crews had no time to place barricades before the vehicle entered.
An officer ran through the water after the driver shouted that a baby was inside, opened the door and carried the child to safety; the driver was also rescued and no one was hurt.
