Arizona’s Motor Vehicle Division now lets residents add vehicle registration and titles to the Arizona Wallet, expanding the state app beyond digital driver’s licenses.
The update also sends expiration alerts for registrations and licenses and links users directly to AZMVDNow.gov to renew, part of ADOT’s push to move routine transactions onto smartphones.
ADOT still told drivers to keep physical registration and insurance in their vehicles for situations including law-enforcement encounters, even with the digital option available.
Arizona says it was among the first states to launch a digital wallet; the app can already be used at more than 250 airport security checkpoints and is built to North American and international standards.
