Chris Taylor retired Friday, then reversed the decision Saturday, the day the Angels placed him on the minor league injured list with a left forearm fracture.
The 35-year-old was on a minor league deal with Los Angeles' Triple-A Salt Lake club, where he hit .255/.382/.321 with an 86 wRC+ before his last game Wednesday.
Taylor spent 10 of his 12 major league seasons with the Dodgers, building his value as a multi-position regular and part-time contributor across both the infield and outfield.
His career included a 2021 All-Star selection, a walk-off homer in the 2021 NL wild-card game and 80 postseason games for the Dodgers, third-most in franchise history.
Across 1,123 major league games with Seattle, the Dodgers and Angels, Taylor hit .248/.327/.419 with 110 home runs after breaking out following a 2016 trade from the Mariners.
