  • A 17-year-old rear passenger died at the scene and two 18-year-olds were hospitalized in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash in Leon County just before 11 p.m. Saturday.
  • Florida Highway Patrol said the southbound sedan drifted onto the shoulder on Thomasville Road near Amber Valley Drive, struck a culvert, went airborne, hit a utility pole and rolled over, ejecting the back-seat occupant.
  • The family identified the victim as Deontavis Cooper, a Thomas County Central High School graduate and football player who had signed with Tulane University in December and was due to start there next week.
