Andrew Abbott announced on social media that he proposed to girlfriend Lindsay Stone, posting rooftop engagement photos with the Cincinnati skyline and Great American Ball Park behind them.
Stone has been a familiar local TV presence for 3 years at WLWT, but said on May 14 that she will leave the station when her contract ends on May 24.
Abbott, 26, has spent his entire 4-year MLB career with the Reds and made his first All-Star team last season after going 10-7 with a 2.87 ERA.
This year’s Opening Day starter is 4-2 with a 3.97 ERA in 11 starts, though he has rebounded lately with a 4-0 record and 1.29 ERA over his last 5 outings.
