Apple May Restore iPhone 18 Pro MagSafe Ring as iPhone 17 Pro Case Drew Backlash

Leaked third-party clear cases for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max show a return to a more open MagSafe ring or horseshoe design instead of the iPhone 17 Pro's large opaque white panel.
That shift would answer criticism of last year's clear case, whose white rectangle covered most of the back after Apple moved the logo lower on the phone and could no longer use a full circular ring.
The new horseshoe-style cutout appears designed to keep the Apple logo visible without sacrificing transparency, a compromise already seen on some third-party accessories.
The replica cases also align with broader iPhone 18 rumors: the base model appears to keep a vertical dual-camera layout, while the Pro models retain the large horizontal camera plateau.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro line and its first foldable iPhone this fall, with the standard iPhone 18 lineup likely following in spring.
