Cockroach Janta Party Alleges India Hacked 22 Million-Follower Instagram, Took Down Website

Abhijeet Dipke said India’s government removed the satirical Cockroach Janta Party website and hacked both his personal Instagram and the movement’s account.
22 million followers joined the CJP Instagram page within a week of launch, far above the BJP’s 9 million, while Dipke said 1 million people signed up and 600,000 backed its petition.
The movement emerged after Chief Justice Surya Kant compared unemployed youth to cockroaches, remarks he later narrowed to people with fraudulent degrees.
Its campaign has focused on forcing Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as exam-paper leak allegations triggered nationwide protests and the cancellation of a medical entrance test.
