Mediators say Washington and Tehran are close to extending their fragile ceasefire by 60 days while setting a framework for broader nuclear talks, with Trump expected to review the draft and decide by Sunday.
The proposed deal would gradually reopen the Strait of Hormuz, ease sanctions and phase in the unfreezing of Iranian assets, while committing both sides to discuss Iran's enriched uranium stockpile.
Pakistan and Qatar have shuttled between Iranian officials and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, but a major obstacle remains Trump's demand that Iran surrender enriched uranium and dismantle Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan.
