$250,000-$500,000 in potential seed funding is available as Accelerate Africa opens applications for its 2026 startup program, with investment considered after the accelerator rather than granted on entry.
The 12-week program will admit 10 founders per cycle and focuses on storytelling, operations, go-to-market strategy, product development and fundraising readiness.
Accelerate Africa says it takes no immediate equity and charges no upfront investment requirement, while offering one-on-one mentorship, legal and financial support, and investor introductions through affiliated networks including Future Africa.
The accelerator says it has supported 162 companies and 170 founders across 37 countries, with portfolio startups collectively raising $2.92 billion and including names such as Andela, Flutterwave and Moove.
As startup funding plummets in 2026, can this accelerator truly deliver investment?
Amidst a 'broken' system, is this no-equity model the real fix for African startups?
