A nearly 700-kg albino buffalo nicknamed “Donald Trump” has been sold and delivered to a buyer for Eid al-Adha sacrifice in Bangladesh.
The four-year-old animal drew nationwide crowds and online attention because of its rare white coloring and blond forelock, which locals said resembled the U.S. president’s hairstyle.
Owner Zia Uddin Mridha said the constant stream of visitors stressed the buffalo and caused it to lose weight, helping prompt the sale days before Eid.
Albino buffaloes are extremely rare in Bangladesh, and the animal’s unusual look turned it into a meme-driven internet sensation that mixed humor with sympathy over its fate.
