Apple Previews iOS 27 With Gemini-Powered Siri at June 9 WWDC

June 9 WWDC is set to showcase iOS 27, led by a rebuilt Siri that Apple is positioning as a conversational AI agent across the iPhone and other devices.
Google Gemini will provide the foundation for that upgrade, while users are also expected to choose other AI models such as ChatGPT or Claude for Apple Intelligence features.
Siri is also expected to get a standalone app with searchable chat history, a new interface that may shift into the Dynamic Island, and deeper in-app tools like Ask Siri and Write with Siri.
Beyond Siri, iOS 27 is rumored to add AI upgrades to Calendar and Health, a more customizable Camera app, and new home-screen undo and redo controls.
Ahead of the fall iOS 27 launch, Apple has already released iOS 26.5 with smaller changes including Maps updates, RCS encryption work and easier message transfers to Android.
