Douglas County authorities arrested former Alexander High School teacher Maris Nichols, 25, on new charges alleging sex crimes involving six teenagers, far beyond the single-student case first disclosed earlier this month.
Court records cited by FOX 5 say the new counts include grooming of a minor, sexual assault and child molestation, with allegations that Nichols had sex with more than one student and sent explicit messages to others.
Investigators allege she sent nude photos and videos to at least two teens under 16, described sex acts in texts to two male students, and sent nude images to a female student while urging her to watch "Fifty Shades of Grey."
The latest accusations also include an alleged sexual encounter with another student in the back of his truck at a golf club; Nichols' bond was set at $74,000 and she had bonded out by Friday.
Douglas County School System, which said after her first arrest that it was "deeply troubled," said it had launched an investigation and would continue cooperating with law enforcement.
