Game 2 of the Western Conference Final will again be played without Cale Makar, leaving Colorado short its top defenseman against Vegas on Friday night in Denver.
An upper-body injury kept Makar out of Wednesday's 4-2 Game 1 loss and will sideline him for a second straight game despite his taking part in Friday's optional skate.
Ball Arena saw Makar work with the first power-play unit during that session, but Colorado still ruled him out before the 8 p.m. ET puck drop.
